Editorial Policy

Editorial Policy

AnimalsCell publishes pet-care information for readers who need practical answers without unnecessary alarm or false certainty. Our editorial process is designed to keep health guidance, general care advice and commercial content clearly separated.

Evidence and sourcing

For health and safety topics, we prefer primary or authoritative veterinary sources such as peer-reviewed research, veterinary colleges, professional veterinary organizations, government agencies and established clinical references. We avoid relying on a single weak source when a recommendation could affect a pet’s health.

Clarity before volume

We do not publish extra sections simply to make an article longer. Important answers, limitations and warning signs should appear where readers need them, not after a long introduction.

Health claims

Articles and tools are informational. They should not claim to diagnose a condition, replace an examination or guarantee an outcome. When a symptom can signal an emergency, the escalation guidance takes priority over lifestyle advice or monetization.

Authorship and review

Bylines, reviewer information and review dates should reflect real people and real work. We do not invent credentials, quotes, testing experience or medical review. A page is labeled medically reviewed only after the stated reviewer has completed that review.

Commercial independence

Advertising, affiliate links, sponsors and lead-generation relationships may support AnimalsCell, but they do not buy favorable medical conclusions. Commercial relationships should be disclosed where relevant, and paid placement should not be presented as independent editorial judgment.

Updates and accountability

Material changes should be reflected in the page’s update or review information. When a factual error is identified, we correct it rather than silently preserving a known mistake. Significant corrections follow our Corrections Policy.
